Little Light Preschool a ministry of Calvary Chapel Pacific Coast began in September of 2002. We are a fully licensed, non-profit school for children ages two through six years old. We provide a high quality Early Childhood Education Program, our school is dedicated to educating and ministering to God’s precious preschool children.

Mission Statement

It is the purpose of Little Light Preschool to provide a quality education that seeks to allow each child the opportunity to grow in their relationship with God & reach their potential, both now and in preparation for continuing education.

Our method is a developmentally appropriate program where creativity is valued, positive attitudes are encouraged, Christian values are taught and demonstrated.

Our preschool teachers and staff members provide daily instruction from the Bible, love and nurturing to each child.

Curriculum

Our daily classroom schedule offers a balance between teacher-directed and child choice activities. The developmentally appropriate curriculum includes daily creative art activities, children's literature, music, dramatic play, science, cooking, sensory play, gardening and large motor activities. We promote “hands-on” learning through self initiated activity. Our teachers serve as facilitators while the children create and explore engaging learning activities.

Religious education is a thread that is woven into the curriculum. The children hear Bible stories each day, pray before snacks and lunch and attend Chapel service each Friday morning.

Basic Information

Full time and part time Preschool Program for Ages 2-6

Enrollment Information: Open enrollment year round subject to available.

Hours: 7:00am-6:00pm Monday thru Friday

School tours available by appointment. To schedule contact preschool director at 714-319-2416

Open year round with the exception of National Holidays and the week after Christmas and week after Easter.

Fees and Tuition:

Yearly Registration Fee: $65.00 (non-refundable)

Full-Time Tuition Rates and Times: 7:00am-6:00pm $32.00 a day.

Part-Time Tuition Rates and Times: 8:30am-12:30pm $25.00 a day.

Those in diapers or potty training an additional fee of $2.00 a day.

Discounts: Are available for siblings enrolled in program, for those who support and serve at our church.

Snacks: Two snacks are provided each day.(mid-morning and mid-afternoon)

Lunches: Provided by parents.

Staff

Little Light Preschool Staff is a group of dedicated professionals. Our teachers have all been trained in the field of Early Childhood Education and continue to increase to further their education with practical hands on ideas to improve class learning and fun. We feel that it is essential to be a teacher as well as a minister of God’s love to the children. All teachers are certified in First Aid as well as CPR.

Facility

We provide an environment that is safe, secure and stimulating for our students. We have a double security entrance for the parents and child to enter. We strive to have our classrooms well-maintained and inviting. Our rooms offer a variety of centers for the children to choose from including: art, writing, science, music, blocks, dramatic play, library corner, and a worship center.
