“Operation Safe Child” is a unique outreach under Safe Harbor International led by retired police sergeant
Dave McDowell that seeks to protect the least the last and the lost of this world. Through a “train the trainer” approach teams of retired and active police officers share their training experience with police
officers and government officials in third world countries to turn the tide on corruption that so often interferes with long term success of Christian ministry outreaches. Through seeking one friendship at a
time to introduce ethics from a Biblical basis along with other training valuable to developing nations the end result is the protection of children. Many of these children have never known what it is like to feel
truly safe. The current concentration of this outreach is in Southern Sudan and Northern Uganda, Africa. The effects of Genocide in Darfur, Sudan has been devastating to an entire generation of children. Pray for our Safe Harbor teams as they seek to continue police training, working in schools and orphanages, humanitarian aid outreaches and the sharing of their faith in the only true healer of pain and suffering – Jesus Christ our Lord!
