VISION
The C.C.S.A. is an outreach of Calvary Chapel of Pacific Coast Established in 1984, the C.C.S.A. seeks to provide a Christ-centered program of organized surfing events throughout the year.
In promoting these events, the C.C.S.A. has several goals it seeks to achieve:
- Foremost and primary, it seeks to glorify God. Our message is simple:
Jesus Christ is our Lord, our God, and our Savior.
- Secondly, we seek to bring the contestants into a knowledgeable understanding
of and/or a relationship with Jesus Christ, God's only Son.
- Thirdly, we seek to provide a non-threatening atmosphere where amateur
surfers can test and hone their skills in a competitive setting. With
the C.C.S.A., being the best is not stressed. Doing your best with the
talents God has blessed you with is, the focus. Watching young surfers
grow in their confidence and abilities is one of our rewards.
- Lastly, the C.C.S.A seeks to foster an awareness among young people
of the community around them. The staff present themselves as examples
of people who can give, care, and share in an effort to touch peoples
lives and effect the world we live in.
